i'm getting the xbox360 and the revolution.
but i played the 360 that other day at future shop and its nothing spectacular. it seemed like the old xbox just a little better and the games thats coming out, no thank you i'll wait when Halo 3 comes out. |

Had a go a couple of days ago at a PR event in Leeds.
Played Kong, Perfect Dark, Need for Speed, Tony Hawks (or something similar), COD2. All suffering from the same problem; resolution.
Fantastic texture mapping, lighting, bump mapping etc.... All looks great until you move and it turns into pixel vision. A little anti-aliasing wouldn't have hurt, this thing's supposed to be an example of modern technology.
I'm sure it'll all look great on my old CRT TV but if you've got anything capable of displaying a decent picture you're just going to notice that for all the fancy effects, a man standing 200 yards away will be made of roughly 8 pixels.
Poor effort, the PC was doing better than this years ago :( It's now off my shopping list. |

my brother-in-law got it today.. he lives downstairs at my house for now.. which means as soon as classes are over, im making my way home and going downstairs and YOINK! im playing 360 for hours :D |

So yea. My brother pre-ordered his back in August, and Gamestop says he might not get one until December. He had to be one of the first to pre-order it back in May of this year to get the 360 on the launch date. If you didn't pre-order it, you'll have to wait until Jan-Feb.
To be honest, I only want to have the system because there will be some interesting rpgs that will make its way on that system. Tales of Rebirth :eek: |

| wow, its ing awesome. my brother-in-law got the $400 package and also bought quake 4 and need for speed most wanted... both games are awesome. neither of us are really fanatical about FPS games so we played NFS much more. the graphics in that game are ridiculous, the cars look like they do in real life... the graphics really shine out especially if you have an HDTV. also, the wireless controllers are very cool, you can even turn on the system just by pressing a certain button on the controller. we both are still getting used to the fact that there are no wires lol :) everytime we hand the controller over we act as if it still has wires, it takes getting used to. |

| I don't understand why everyone is making such a big deal about the wireless controllers. I've had a wireless PS2 controller by Logitech for a year and a half now and I have the Wavebird for Gamecube. Big deal. :rolleyes: |

i think i heard something about a light on the controller plugins that light up when you do something or something of that soemthing nature
