the whole mix was excellent, i was kinda expectin it to lose momentum half way through like most long mixes do, but it didnt! it was a really solid mix!!! transitions were all excellent and the tunes were consistently good :)
and finishin off a 3. 1/2 hour set wae Hazy Crazy! class. |

Solid work here, spot on mixing and nice and varied tune selection on the whole. Good to hear Love Song, C'est L'heure and Funk System again, always brings back memories from Berlin.
On the downside, I miss some more change from the 4/4 norm, and on the whole the mix sounds a bit on the "safe" side. Take a few more chances tunewise. Also, I think you should've saved Opa Opa till later on in the mix when starting off as banging as you did here.
Nevertheless, keep up the good work Mr. Howard, and I hope you can be arsed to use your connections to take your DJing further than the bedroom some day. |

Thanks for listening Jan. I sort of had the LFA in mind when I started playing tracks like Love Song, C'est L'heure, Markitit, etc. Kinda of trying to relive it in my own way I guess. I could have played some more ballsey tracks I suppose, I did play some though like Arc-en-Ciel - The Juice for example, but yea it was pretty safe throughout.
Cheers for the feedback. |
