I have to eat this one since I started that "blow it out your ass, Bono" thread a few months back...
Certainly not trying to brag, I just think it's pretty cool.
A good friend of mine from college happens to do lobby work in D.C. Apparently one of his clients is Bono. Lucky me for being in the right place at the right time--he's coming down this weekend and I get floor tickets for me and the wife for free! Woohoo!
Never been to a U2 concert. Frankly, I don't care that much for their music, but I have no doubt that this will be a unique, helluva time since these guys are legendary. I wonder how much protesting I'll see.:conf: |

| U2 concert was awesome!!.. Your one lucky bastard!!! Enjoy the show and the music. There political statements but nothing directly. More like a HUMAN RIGHTs thing. |

They're fantastic in concert. I've been to 3 different shows from various years, and probably the best I've seen was the Zoo TV tour. That stage was incredible.

GOD DAMN MY EARS ARE RINGING!!
That was a pretty sweet show.
What wasn't sweet was telling a cop to off after the show when the valet refused to bring my car up. Followed by a $50 cab ride home, only to realize that I didn't have my keys...because the ing valet had them. So we cabbed it back downtown and the valet still wouldn't give me my keys, but finally gave me my garage door opener so I could get home--after yet another cab ride (only $40 the 2nd time around).
But back to my hearing. I think it's pretty much gone for the day with a hangover to match it. I wonder if my car's been vandalized yet. |

dont understand ur post show problem, but i would have given my right arm to have been there. Just saw a great 60 minutes interview with them. They are way cool. |
