| My favorite memory of Ilyia...and I'm sure you can all relate...is belting out tunes with him!! One in particular I remember is singing along to Satellite at the top of my lungs with my hands in the air at Above & Beyond this summer. I turn around and there's Ilyia doin' the same thing! I ran over to him and we yelled the words out together. Good times my friend...good times. |

| I only met him the month before he left, and when I found uot he was leaving it had already made an impact on me. Ilyia, truly a good kid, and it's a shame I didn't get to know him a little better before he left. There's a hole on toronto dancefloors that will probably never be filled. |

It was the same for me. I met Ilyia at Tiesto in the summer...and then we bonded quite well at the CoZo afterwards. I was so upset that it was going to be his last party. But sure enough, he showed up both at Above & Beyond, CoZo & Chus & Cheballos at the end of July. It made that weekend that more special b/c I didn't think I was going to see him again before he left! |

Before any of you guys were even listening to trance, was when I first met Ilyia.
It was the greatest first meeting because through this site, we arranged to travel to New York together. Ray, jon jon, me and Ilyia met at about 5 in the morning and drove all the way to New York not even knowing who this russian was. The first we saw of him was from one of Nat's videos from a trip to Montreal and we thought he was great. We found out this was true! He was a great travel companion and so smart. I knew that this was someone I could totally hang out with all the time. It still blows me away how smart he is and how great he is doing for himself. Ilyia will always have me as a friend. |

Thank you for the thread Lisa !! You don't know how much it means to me !! I miss you all too ! I'll be back for Christmas break for almost two weeks, and I can't wait !
Partying is non-existent for me right now; work occupies pretty much all of my non-sleep time. Google is awesome, possibly the best software company to work for at the monent, but damn, you have to put in the hours(normally I work 8am-8pm, often including weekends)..
San Francisco is a really great city though. Not a day passes by when I don't see see something absolutely unbelievable: be it homeless having chess tournaments till the early hours of the morning, to some people just randomly dancing on the bus.
I'll see you all soon ! I really hope you can visit me here though! The doors are always open, and I guarantee that San Francisco will not disappoint !
PS - It might come as a shock, but I'm really into house now(though nothing will ever beat a good Trance party....) :D |
