| I steal music all day long, if you like something you try and get it anyway you can, it is that simple. As for pre planning sets, well everyone I know plans it one way or another at some point. |

I thought that our community was supposed to be about sharing our passion for EDM, something that has brought a lot of very different people together for the best; not about pursuing personal vendettas. I understand that you (and others) need to get things off your chests, but does anyone else here really care, or has not already heard the story over and over again?
I am not saying that you may not do it, but I think that it is actually accomplishing the opposite of your objective; namely, turning a number of people off from the scene. Especially in the last couple of weeks, this is the feedback that I have gotten from many TA lurkers who came up to thank me spontaneously at various events.
Like a very wise man watching from across the Atlantic wrote, there is room for more than one club in our area on any given day. You may not like Club Heaven for personal reasons--that are none of our business--but does that justify trying to take it away from the hundreds of people who do happen to enjoy it week after week? If Club Heaven is so bad, then it will eventually go out of business like the others you mentioned. Is is really necessary for you (and others) to actively precipitate its potential demise (other than for personal gain or vengeful satisfaction)?
Instead, I want to invite you (and your associates) to really show your love for the music and bringing people together by letting it be. Please, for all the fans who just want to have a good time as often as they can with some variety in their options :) |
There is nothing admirable about club heaven. They do not care for their customers.
I tried to back off this whole thing, as I am sure you noticed, but for some reason you and Bob want to keep digging things back up.
Instead of directing your messages at me, why dont you direct them to the root of the problem instead, your buddies. Its amazing to me that you can sit there and speak of how negative I am, and then not admit it about the very people you surround yourself with.
Both of you preach and preach about keeping personal matters of TA. I have been doing just that, and look what you guys stir up. It seems to me you enjoy the conflict. And you certainly arent following ANY of your own advice, which is really hypocritical.
I am supposed to let people just bash me, just because I am a DJ in the public eye? Thats BS. Criticism, constructive or not, is one thing, BASHING w/ no just cause, is another.
I have an event to get ready for, so you guys go ahead and carry on this argument without me. |

Not everyone, no. :)
And no, I never preplanned my sets when I started off or now. If I was going to do that I might as well put in a CD for people to hear and just go out on the floor and dance with them! Not to mention, that when I was starting out, I did not book myself to headline events. I paid my dues, and god knows still am. Gotta long way to go...

I honestly know alot of people that plan their sets. maybe not plan them to the tee but at least have something set up in a few ways incase the crowd is not feeling it.
I still would like to know how you exactly steal music from someone. If liking what others are playing and you wanting that track for your self to play is stealing, then I think he is not alone.
Please clarify stealing?

For the record to anyone reading this thread. I offered Bob the chance to remove his posts and I said I would do the same. But he refuses. Not only does he refuse, but as you can see he keeps at it.

Also...I didnt know that you were the person that checked when someone had payed their dues in L.A. I didnt know it was a union and there were dues to pay.

Guys, a lot of people, including me, like you both, and it's frustrating to see this going on. This isn't solving anything.
Besides, there are more important things to argue about. Such as whether N body codes such as Mercury 6 can be used to accurately model the accretion of planetesimals, modeled as having zero mass, onto a protoplanet since the gravitational field within the Hill radius of the protoplanet is dominated by the protoplanet itself ...OR...whether N body codes are insufficient as they fail to take into account the gravitational stirring of planetesimals by themselves which lead to collisions, a fundamental change in the mass (and thus velocity) spectrum of the planetesimals and which may allow the accretion of shear-dominated, as opposed to dispersion dominated, plantesimals to ...well, dominate, driving down the formation timescale for said protoplanets. I mean, c'mon, that's on everyone's mind here at work at least :P |
