Yes, that is correct.
Edit - I actually posted some incorrect information. Deuterium is actually a stable isotope of Hydrogen with one neutron and one proton, as opposed to one proton. Heavy Water is actually referred to as D2O.
I wonder where I got the H3O thing from.
Anyways, apparently it isn't used in cooling the reaction. It is rather used because of the high energy yield of its reaction with tritium. |
