Where to start...
The night started at Kaizen for some wikked sushi with my choker I'm not going to Stereo too many gays there friends(their loss...man eye candy)Made my way to Choq.FM and met the peeps from House Pacifique.Nice
people, very into the music and I have to thank them once again for the passes.From there made my way to Stereo Bar for some fine drunkening and XL En Fuego style beats.Met tons of cool peeps at the bar and the night was set for a great party vibe from the get go.When the time came to go upstairs, Max was the one behind the decks getting set to deliver his brand of house...only thing is he started the night with some Trance!!(zzzzzzzzzz)I found that the first hour of his set was an absolute snooze fest and that musically the night was going to be a washup.No way....Max started to pick things up after awhile and the crowd responded by throwing a killer vibe and getting down in a crazy fashion.Max was ok this night...i've seen him perform much better sets, but it wasnt bad at all.I guess when you see someone spin as often as I have seen Max, you must realize that they cant always top their last performance.Now to the real meat of the night....Chris Fortier.I have not been to Stereo recently as much as in the past, and to be honest this was the first time I have heard a dj stray from straight up house music and drop some electro and techno influence with success at Stereo.Pedro Delgardo-Metropolis at Stereo!!!I almost broke my damn ankles going nuts to this track.This was the first time I've seen Chris spin and it will not be the last.He truly impressed me with his track selection and he had the crowd on a string controlling with seriously dirty beats.Last but not least....the women...Man oh man they were everywhere and it was funny because the deviated from the norm being it was them who where prowling the floor for meat instead of the men!(I guess in a club with so many gay guys they are trying to sniff out the guys who play for the right team.)I dont know
how many girls i danced with, but damn it i had a blast.My legs are a little sorer and my black book is a little thicker:happy2: .Seriously a great night except for one sketchy gay dude insisting i go do lines with him in the bathroom.No means no...men are pigs:stongue:
PS... I think Max has been watching too much Tiesto stuff...He did the Tiesto jump so many times as well as the Dutch Pose....NOOOOOOOOOOOO! |

Chris Fortier's new style is fantastic. deep, hard and dirty.
The crowed was fine. I haven't seen chicks and guys so much into music in a long time.
Stereo's progressive Friday nights have faded for the last year or so. I hope they come back.
Thanks to the fine crowed and to the good dancers.
I happen to have spotted a few good ones.
