:whip: damn chinamen killing off all the beautiful animals;)! seriously though, sharks are older than dinosaurs, and have inhabited the ocean for over 400 million years. thanks to us, their number is dwindling. over 100 million are killed by humans a year (i've heard this number up to 200 million).
main reason: shark fin soup. the bastards catch the sharks then cut off ALL their fins (including their tails) and toss them back alive and fin-less into the water to die miserably. just look at some pics of this. it's heinous. i will personally kick the ass of anyone who eats shark fin soup. that means you too scott ;)!
next on my menu: chinamen soup!
p.s. aquarium looks cool. would love to check it out sometime. |

shark fin + bird's nest = party in your mouth and everyone's invited
at least no birds were harmed while harvesting their nest, only the poor rock climbing harvesters that plummet to their untimely deaths. no one really cares about them though. |

The news today said they sold 80,000 annual passes already, think they said reg tix for the first 2 months is sold out, think u have to make reservations if u wanna go....didn't hear the full details :conf:
they made 4.7 million dollars+ already and the place has just open today :eek: |
