ok, so this is it,

I've just built a new PC, with SATA hard disks, cushdy

But.... in reason 3 when I go to load a sample say in Redrum as i browse thru my samples there is an audible click at the start of each one playing (when autoplay is on). The click is heard at the start when the red LOADING bar goes across. The click is not heard when autoplay is turned off, and i just press play (obv as the sample has been loaded).

Obv the sound is because its loading info about the sample at the same time as playing it - but this didnt happen on my last slower computer.

My SATA HD's can do 1.5 gigs a second ffs! why is there a click and how do i get rid of it, its driving me up the wall!!

most likely a hardware issue

i chuckled when i read pro and reason in the same sentence.

i use the "Battery" drum sampler from Native Instruments in cubase.. maybe you could do the same if you own cubase

i just use reason for drums, fx and sometimes bass

i tried battey, its ok but requires u to have loads of samples to work from, i prefer using the magnitute of samples in refills :D

Firstly - Sorry about bumping this but i'm going mental trying to figure this out.

I've tried everything and still the autoplay sounds . It almost sounds like it plays the first split second of the sample, then plays it again, causing a big fat click...Its intermittent tho, happening about every 5 samples. It doesnt matter about the size of the samples neither. If I go back to a sample that didnt play correctly once, it'll probably play ok the second time. Some samples crackle more often than others too......

I've upgraded to the latest reason version. I've tried closing EVERY other app that isnt needed. Closing network connections. Turning down graphics settings. Running as a different user. Running from Administrator. I changed the slot the soundcard was in so it had its own IRQ. I tried a different soundcard. I tried using the Multimedia ASIO and the Direct X ASIO.

I am at the point where I'm going to do a completly fresh install and see if it still does it. If it does I'm going to cry. It's so annoying! I HATE CLICKS!!

Has anyone else had any similar Autoplay problems? Any autoplay problems at all???

I bet no one even replies.....*sob*
