Charity Poker Event

I just got back from playing at Fez Boutique, for a charity poker event. 30 dollar buy in, all donations go to the victims of the Katrina disaster (it was a Red Cross event I believe). My friend dragged me to go, even though the past two weeks I lost up to a 1000 dollars in Hold'em, I decided to take a break and just have fun tonight and just outplay as many people as I could and take as many notches on the belt before being taken out. Ends up I actually won the whole thing (alot of people were fairly new to the game there, so I was able to beat alot of people early on).

Well, I won a signed Mogilny jersery, official and authenticated. I won two tickets to some Alumni Private Box for my choice of any MTL game, which include all you can eat and all you can drink. A signed Sundin puck (hehe) and probably the most amazing MAVERICK poker story that I plan on telling everyone who knows anything about poker. Basically I went to final table with lowest chip stack, and barely had enough to cover 1/3 big blind, and managed to make the biggest comeback and beat the massive chip leader.

Anyhow, I actually wanted to ask some of you who might know, anyone know what the signed jersey might be worth? and anybody know how good these Alumni Box seats are? Im not much of a fan of hockey, and I've never been to any leaf game. Im wondering if anyone has some insight to what kind of night I can expect?

Im really excited for my first hockey game, being spanish and having a family who only watches soccer or basketball (hockey is for white rich folks). This is really something, and I plan on cheering my ass off to whichever game I go to.

We really should get a TOTA hold'em tourney going.

Definately man, I am always down for a good game of hold'em. I think we can set up a private tourney online, and we can arange the price and whatnot on one of those online services. But a live game would be alot more fun, I know there are a few players on here.

If you've ever played ice hockey, the equipment is fairly expensive. It's perhaps one of the most expensive sports to play (football probably even more): Skates, pads, sticks, puck, jersey, and a helmet. Compare that to soccer, or basketball, and you can see why its very reasonable for families who are not as well off, or are new to the country to have their kids try to play other less expensive sports. Anyhow its just a joke, you dont have to be rich to play, but I hope you get what I was getting it.
