Who's interested in a texas hold'em poker tournament? (possibly for charity)

Just throwing this idea out to see who's interested...
Let's say, 20 dollars buy in, half goes to a charity and half remaining prize money.
Groups of 8 facing off and pending on how many players we have, a tournament tree be formed where winner and maybe runner up of each group goes to next ladder until there is one winner, one lucky bastard who gets to gloat that he/she/it is the king/queen/whatever of TOTA hold'em.
First round groups will be formed based upon location so that people don't have to travel to play.
Since it's end of exam time and holidays for most of us, so for fun and for a good cause, let's play some hands. :) |

Well, if DJ thing is added to the mix, it'd mean a big tourney...
I was thinking just the people in the group get together, have some drinks and play some hands so that you can hold it in someone's dining table.
That's why I said preliminary groups will be based upon location. So like, people from Scarberia area play each other and KW people play each other. And those people in the group play each other at time and place of their choosing. There will be a set time period in which a round must be played out. I'm trying to go for max flexibility here. :)
I suppose we can do the big tourney thing, but we'd have to find someone who has big enough space and has all the kit or someone bring the DJ kit which IMO is too much logistics involved.
Like I said, I'm just throwing the idea out. :) |

Viva nightclub ... or Funtime poker room ...all the equipment is there. if the event gets more than 5 tables we can host it downstairs of Funtime which is a banq. hall with buffet too. call me to arrange it Tim. |
