i cannot stop listening to this CD. OMG, so good. I think better than any other CD they made so far. The music is so tight and much heavier than before. David's voice just keeps getting better and more powerful. Fuzz's bass keeps up it's rhythm, so in sync to the drumms. Dans guitar is still heavy and melodic as always, driving the songs to new heights. And ofcourse Mike's percussions are so perfect and sound almost quantized it's not even funny.

i am on a major rock kick lately...i love disturbed and mudvayne and korn and slipnot...
i love korn's new songs "Twisted Transistor" and "Got the Life"
SOAD's new Mesmerize album rocks too!

aww Slylee kicks ass. MuDvAyNe are my all time fav. I'm seeing them here in NYC and then Disturbed as well. the Mud own live and Disturbed just kick ass no matter what. I'm hoping that David could put on a kick ass show live. |

I loved Mudvaynes song 'Dig'. Not much has else has stood out. I also own all SOAD albums. Toxicity & Steel this Album are great. I actually prefer the harder metal like Meshuggah or dark metal like Opeth.
The last Disturbed I got was 'the sickness'. I havent heard it for ages, I thought it was OK but was copying alot of elements that other nu metal bands of the time were playing.

Thats enough of a rant to get me interested. I might check it out...
I notice Korn has a new album out. Has anyone listened to it? Im curious about it, but at this point I will not get it until I hear some good about. :p |

from the 3 or 4 songs i've heard, it's gonna rock! i can't wait to get it. Twisted Transistor & Got the Life are both awesome songs!
oh yea, and supposedly this client we have in jail (the one i made a thread about) owns 2 bike shops and was in a band (obviously not a big one) but he swears up and down that he knows all the guys from Mudvayne and he knows the lead singer of K0rn and Slash from Velvet Revolver. He keeps telling me and this other guy i work with that when he gets out of jail, he wants us to chill with him and all those guys...
there is this x-mas fest concert on December 12 and it has mudvayne korn, slipnot and a few other bands and he could have totally hooked us up with backstage pases n stuff, but he's not gonna be getting out of jail in time:( |

you probably didn't hear enough of mudvayne then. Dig is definatly their anthem. one of my fav verses is in that song

Meshuggah ing rule too. I remmember I knew about them before the whole Osbournes thing. And when I heard Jack blast that i wasl ike no ing way is that Meshuggah? holy ! Spasm is an insane song.
Opeth are also amazing. I think the reason they are so good is because of Steven Wilson their producers who also rocks out in Porcupine Tree and Blackfield which are definatly the best psych rock and alternative bands out right now.
Slylee...got the life is like old as how is it a new song :conf:? or do you just mean it's great in general?
Twisted Transister is insane. all of you MUST see the video...they have rappers as KoRn lol lil jon is jon davis, xzibit is fieldy, SNOOP DOGG is MUNKY LMAO, and i forget who is David. and at the end of the video you see the real KoRn telling the black koRn that they are wack lol and Munky is like this is hot you trippin' homie, the song is about trans SISTERS lmao |

he does that only in a few songs. also, he started that because down with the sickness is a cover and in the original the dude is like ooooh waa ha ha ha but doesn't sound like a bird :p |
