but he made a guitar riff for the break which isnt in the track, and it sounded awesome :o |

Well he said in the video that he didn't like the guitar, so I guess he dropped it.
And yes you do need some sort of talent to produce good tracks...its not all about the gear or the training you have,(engineering is a big plus though) its mostly knowing your genre and composition that will bring the light to your tracks. If it was all about the gear and engineering then we would all be producing top notch ...are you? if you can answer yes then congrats...but if not look at what your doing and think why?
Look at me I have a loads of gear, used it for years...and know my engineering wise..been producing for like 5 years...and I don’t have a freaking smash hit on my hands??? Why? I thought it was all about the gear and know-how? Nope, dead wrong...I don’t have the talent!
I think one major problem that we all have or maybe just me, is that we aren’t really listening to the music that is being made. We have turned it into a robotic process that needs to be dissected in order to be heard. This is just my own personal answer to where I think I'm going wrong in what I'm doing. I need to start listening to more music again, and REALLY listen. |

Wow yesterday night my download rate suddenly went to 100 kb/s, I finished the remaining 50% in no time...
