Bush was considering bombing the Al-Jazeera stations, which would imply bombing Qatar (an ally), in order to block the inflow of propaganda (some would say "useful information"), but Blair persuaded him not to do it.

| I think they did hit Al-Jazeera but by "accident." I saw that one of their field correspondents got killed doing a report while standing on the roof of some building to get an aerial shot of the capital. There was no activity around them for the bombers to fly by and drop one bomb over them, that's why they thought it was intentional. The U.S. did issue an apology, however. |
