Before spending any money on a transplant, give heed my suggestion above.

Script only.

Finasteride was originally prescribed for men who had prostate problems. They found that men who took the drug (for prostate purposes) experienced a reduction and cessation of hair loss and in some cases regrowth. Typical prescription for prostate issues is 5 to 10 mg / day. Finasteride marketed for the prostate is called Proscar.

Upon the discovery of it's actions in blocking DHT from receptors within the hair follicle (causing the follicle to die) - the researchers (looking for ways to extend their patent of course) determined that a dosage of 1 mg / day was sufficient to achieve the desired hair "protection" effects (finasteride binds the to DHT receptor instead of DHT allowing the follicle to thrive). Finasteride marketed for hair loss is called Propecia.

If you have prescription drug coverage at work - they will not cover Procecia as it is considered "cosmetic" and not medically necessary. At last check a Propecia regimen costs over $70 / month (full cost).

There is a way around having to pay full cost however. Ask your doctor to prescribe Proscar - which all drug coverage plans will pay for. The smallest dose of Proscar is prescribed is 5 mg - so you will need to buy a pill cutter and cut the pill into quarters (1.25 mg each). The extra 0.25 mg / day will not cause any unwanted effects. Since Proscar is covered by drug plans - you'll have to check to see what the cost is (each drug coverage plan has different co-pay or %-pay options - but paying a $2 co-pay or 20%-of-cost-pay is better than the $70 / month).

I think im gunna be losing my hair in the next few years. :nervous:

The Japanese should stop creating realistic looking robots (which are obviously made to become sex bots for nerdy loser guys who cant get real woman) & focus there attention on more important matters!

Like:

- How to stop losing hair on ur head when older (and figure out why it keeps growing on ur ass)

- a pill to make us 100% sober (when intoxicated or high on drugs)

- a tree which actaully grows money on it

- create a cellphone/mp3/video camera/Swiss Army Knife/XM radio which is actaully good (and an added vibrator feature for the ladies.. or men, if ur into that kinda thing)

- a device which increases my pheromones to make me irresistible to the opposite sex :tongue2

You know, like that. Please feel free to add more.

I'm only 22 and already have a pretty visible receding hairline. That's what you get for being Russian. Is there ANYTHING that can be done about it, for ANY amount of money? Can they transplant some hair there or something?

well D!abolic, did you research?
