Any of the old farts go see him? Rob, Garf, Tom, Nick (altho I think he is still overseas???) etc

I want to know what the fellow OG's thought of tiesticles show.

For the Detroit party - I just have to say it was worth the 4-hour drive (one-way)

Got there way early, so I had prime parking right around the corner from the entrance. Bellied up at the State Bar until showtime. Talked a couple nice people and watched Dallas lose (yay).

I should've expected this, but "doors open at 9" NEVER means doors open at 9. Doors opened at 9:20 after I lost feeling in my ears and my teeth were pushed back into my gums - the wind and cold that night were just brutal. Thank God the place wasn't "pre-cooled" in anticipation of the crowd...nice and warm.

Marcus' set was cool, a nice warmup - sorry, I can't ID tracks to save my life. If it sounded good, it sounded good....if it didn't, well, I got over it, heh.

KT's set, however, got the main floor halfway packed, though the open space wasn't totally open - people were out there having a good time. I liked every track he played and transitions? I couldn't tell where one track ended and another began.

When Tiesto took the tables, though, the main floor turned into a crush. I was down there in the thick of it for a while, but damn, no room to move = suckage, so I backed out. I'm not going to hate, his set was good, too, and overall it looked like people were enjoying themselves - which is the point of it all, right? IIRC he saved all of "his" productions until the end - Love Comes Again, Heroes, Lethal Industry, and of course Adagio for Strings.

Afterparty at Masonic Temple was awesome - dark, thumpin', full and active but not crowded. Was great but for one thing....SMOKE...ugh (this is why I am glad Columbus banned smoking!) Eyes and head just couldn't take it anymore so I headed out, bout 5am. Didnt even make it out of Michigan before I stopped to eat a real breakfast and take a nap...lol, woke up at 4:30 pm...I'm getting too old for this...

Overall good time, worth the time and money spent, but only once. I'll stick to shows in smaller clubs - George Acosta @ Metropolis (Cleveland) still my favorite show of the past year.

just for your info... KT dropped Tracking Treasure Down, not Tiesto.

Not hearing good things about this set thus far. I'm glad I didn't make a trip for such a short gig and decided to stay in Toronto for Marcel Woods cuz that man ripped the floor apart!!!

Omega_Blue: At the show, there were 2 huge screens (about 50% the size of a movie theater screen I guess) and 2 on the dj booth.

On the screens while Tiesto was mixing, like "Inspiration", "Memories", and various other GAY poems were put up there.

It was gay as hell. I was embarassed to even have told my friends about it at that point. He went way off the deep end with "art" and created a visual trainwreck.

I doubt he was in charge of what came on those screens, however quit lying ... you know you loved it , if not please stay your ass home next time, so I can get some room to ing dance.

If that was at Detroit, I didn't see it...I didn't look at the screens much at all. when I did, though, I mostly saw "The Sound of Tiesto" swirling around, or the words to "Love Comes Again", or some nature scenes - sunsets and the like.

No, I ing hated it. I think it's a guy-thing.
