they have been around for many years, and i know i know ... they aren't trance .. they are more 50-50 house / chillout - ambient .
their releases
how do you guys and gals feel about this duo ( andy cato and tom findlay ) ??
i have heard some mixed reviews about them .. some say they are awesome, especially live ( blowing the roofs off and stuff ) .. others say their production material is sloppy and pathetic .. some may point to their connections with famous pop stars, like madonna, and judge them solely on that .
i think they have made some great production material .. i havent heard any of their live sets yet .. i do prefer their "chillout" side, rather than their "house" side, yet i still enjoy their "house" edgy side from time to time .

If you like the chill out stuff, u'll probably be into andy's collaboration with this japanese guy. The album is called
Caia - the magic dragon
and altho i only got the e.p. - the track la telecarbine, i never get sick of it.

Things about Groove Armada
-I love "Edge Hill" to death.
-I own "Vertigo" but it has quite a few tracks with wind instruments therefore I do not like those tracks.
-Vertigo is the only album I like from them.
-I like their CD artwork. |

| I like Groove Armada alot. Lovebox is by far my fav track from the duo. Their club mix of Madonna - Music is brilliantly smooth and groovy. Andy Cato (real name Andy Cocup) is a man behind a few fantastic trance producing aliases such as Beat Foundation, Qattara, Mother's Pride, Big C. Also his other more downtempo/chilled house alias, Weekend Players is very very nice to listen when you want just to sit back and relax. |
