Question About Song FX

Say in a production where it has a complete slow down of the song (similar to something like a record stopping), also how sequence percussion patterns change from flat to high filtered (used alot in trance).

BT for example uses alot of these things and it's done alot so I assume there's probably a way to getting around to it. It's probably not as hard as it sounds..

Anybody?

For that slow-down effect you can try TBT's Tapestop plugin.

For your second request, I'm not quite sure what you mean, but it sounds like maybe you are referring to a filter sweep, which you should be able to do by automating the cutoff of any filter plugin.

In cubase it's just a matter of using an enveloped pitch-shift and turning off time correction.

I'm not really sure how it works in other sequencers... you might have to do it offline in a wave editor.
