thats a pretty insane build up 128 -145 in 1 hr..
if this is a demo.. try only goin to like 138 or something.
the demo is only to hear your mixing skills and track selection, not what you're going to do on that night you're opening.
it will make the demo flow a lot better if u dont jack the bpm up so fast/so much and flow is the most important thing.

ya i know it's insane but the problem is that they want me to programm the demo to the headliners liking if u know what i mean.
He wants to start with 145 then i have to fin. 145 if you know what i mean

Have you talked to this headliner? have you heard him play? do you know what he usually opens with? i've never been to a club that a dj starts at 145, how fast does he get up to?

I u absolutely have to end off around 145 then just start out faster, theres no reason anyone should be going from 128 -145 EVER its just way too much of a jump, even 2 hrs is pushing it.

If you kno what the dj plays, then it shouldn't be too hard to make something to his liking, I really dont see why u have to start out at 128 if the club normally is playing 145bpm. Most important thing is just let the energy go upwards, lol which i guess wont be too hard since every song ur gonna have to jump 2bpm lol.

on your songs, i'd take out the gift and aftermath espically, its an awesome song, but unless you have the crowd in your palm, they wont be too receptive of it. Its a pretty big room late nigth song, and really needs to be built up to to get the full effect. I"d say leave all the prog house stuff, try startin out with prog trance instead, something with a solid baseline or maybe even funky baseline which will catch their attention.

gabriel dresden - arcadia comes to mind, thers a lot more, but like that. Marc marberg - guarana a few songs in?? Just a suggestion.
will be alot easier to go from this into trance than from pryda stuff.

Bottom line if its a demo, grab their attention during the first few songs, cause thats what they're gonna hear first.

thx alot for the replies.
To Wyndham ya i sat with the headliner he is hard dance dj so he wants to start of with a 145BPM song I'll rework the playlist and i'll post it up soon

why does your end tempo have to match his starting tempo?

he can just kill the sound and put on his 145 bpm record, going up is never a problem.

lol this usually sounds like unless its a big dj, resident djs shouldn't be doing this, kills the vibe.
