Please, somebody could help me?
How I turn down the volume before the breakdown on a pattern (of the kick channel for example)? without have to create one of the same pattern to do this...
I think is an automation thing...
If i edit the event on volume to turn down in a pattern, it will do the same event all the times I repeat the pattern, but I want to do this only before the breakdown, and I'll have to turn up the volume again after the breakdown...
I ve to create 2 of the same pattern?
It's just this, thanks in advance...

There are a couple of ways you could do this. The easiest way if you're using FL5 is to create an automation clip.
1) Right-click on the channel volume knob and select 'Create automation clip'.
2) On the bottom-part of the playlist, left-click to place the automation clip on to the playlist.
3) You can edit the shape of the clip on the playlist editor
The other way is to create a special pattern that is as long as the entire track, and use it just for all global automation. I think the default pattern for this is 9, and is called 'Main Automation'. |

You can do it this way, but I find it gets confusing when you have so many automations all packed together. What I like to do is to create seperate patterns just for automation. So say for example I have a lead that will fade in during the breakdown and then fade out later on, I'll have three patterns for the lead in the playlist arranged in this fashion:
Lead
Lead.in
Lead.out
It also helps you visualize what automations are playing when, whereas one big automation pattern wouldn't.
So basicly you put yourself on the "in" or "out" pattern and just click on the knob you want to tweak. |
