Anybody have this mixer?

It seems VERY well built and solid from the way it looks.

How's the sound quality?

It's very well priced also.

I'll probably get one if people say it's a damn nice mixer to get.
Orbital32
it's cheap because they are hard to sell. Many people don't like it. Most seem to say that it's too hard and confusing to use. I'm not saying it sucks, but that was my overall research on the X-9.

Real good quality and the extra features are top notch too.

Yes it's a little more complicated and due to the fact most djs are lazy learners that are scared if anything is a bit different then the usual they just don't buy it.

Wasn't it recently discontinued actually?

If you can score one for a decent price go for it!

You can still buy it on most equipment sites. Such as DJDeals. It looks like a very solid built mixer and it really doesn't look any more complicated than say a DJM 600. It looks like it's built like techs :)

I'll probably end up buying it.

I forget the exact terms but I think it has something close to Parametric EQ on it .... it's a bit confusing at first.
Basically top portion of the knob you set your frequency and the bottom you set that frequencies gain.

I totally love it :)

Wish I had one! Played with one several times
Lover Boy
My mate had one and swears by it.

its a piece of junk. There's a reason why it originally sold for $1000 usd and now its like half that. I've played on one and it just feels very very cheap.

jesus.. have u seen this guy's equipment.....???

it's all top of the range ... ofcourse it's gonna feel cheap for him..

ignore it spec, tascam's have a good reputation, in being durable.

It apparently has some delay issues in the eqs. Which seem to have been fixed with an update, although I'm not sure how one would get it.

Most of the reviews I've read say that there are a lot of features, but as for basic performance, they leave a lot to be desired. As in, all of the development money went into crazy features, but the basic mixer workings were ignored. Apparently the effects and samplers are quite difficult to get used to, as well.

I've never used it (and probably never will, since they only sold like 5 of them), this is just what I've read.

But, if you want a mixer that is kind of almost like a Pioneer DJM-600 or Denon DNX-1500, for only a little less, then more power to you.

I've used one more than a few times. I can't say I had any problems with it or didn't like it. I wouldn't buy one, but if someone wanted to give me one I'd use it until it didn't work anymore.
