Hi TrancEaddict, Jus finished a new remix after obtaining the accapella. I wanted to work on vocals and percussion. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

You worked on one of my favourite tracks... so let's take a look what you've done here:

The build-up at the beginning is kept in a classical way...nevertheless, bassdrum and -line has much drive. The vocals suffers from the bassdrum in the first break. The starting synth in the background (chords) is too weak but the pad is nice (2:14) :)
The second break is nice, good atmosphere - but as I mentioned, the mainlead is too quiet campared with the snare.
All in all a solid production - keep on working on it!

This is pretty good.

First thing I noticed is that you used the typical Ron van den Beuken bassline, whether consciously or not, but it works. There's definitely a good drive behind it.

I love that other melody you added, which starts around 2:12. However, other than that, there's not really a lot different about this version, musically. It sounds kind of starved of ideas; basically it's the original but with beefed up sounds and a different structure. I also think it drags on a little bit towards the end... although there's arguably a "second break", the kickdrum doesn't really drop, and some people would find that a bit tedious. Would definitely work well in a club though.

Last point is that the vocals could be louder. Other than that though, the mastering is really good, it sounds pro. I don't really like the vox in this track at all, but that's not your fault obviously, as you didn't write them. :P

Great work overall, just a few pointers.

I'm suprised that you already finsihed it.
The bass should be heavier.
Maybe more sub.
I hate the vocals as they are ultra cheezy.
Maybe make a dub?
Aleady the lead? oh it's just an hint.
I like the new melody.
I think that the vocals doesn't fit to it.

It's ok.
6/10, not something that I would listen to it again.

Listening:

Nice intro, the kick is very good and the bass is cool too, sharp sounding percs too....love the way you bring the bass in with the vocals...sounds very slick...some nice FX on it too...thought it was starting to sound a bit empty but when you bring in that lead it sounds nice and full...the breakdown is a bit empty though...maybe put it some nice pads to widen it. But overall I enjoyed this , cool song man.

Indeed , as said before the rvd.beuken bassline is used, but not all the way, since he's got 2 audible different ones running together most of the time, and some percussion loop in the back.
The hi hats sound tough, bit distortion never hurt anyone, but don't know what this will do when played really loud.
Fx- are good, nicely integrated into the track, never sounding 'too extreme' but they keep your interest.
Like the teasing with the original melody ...
Break:
Main lead is warm and fills the room, but maybe there's slighty too little going on during the break.
And don't know, the main melodty teasing only gets fulfilled for 95%...
And the vocals, they're classics, so don't let nobody get to you about them...

good stuff, will be adding it to my collection.

Thankyou for your positive views Groundzero. I can safely say that no loops were used in this mix :). One shot samples all the way.
