ROLLCALL: New Year's Eve ***CELEBRATION + ARIA + STEREO*** Meet-up

So, yes, I've disappeared over the past 4 months, but with New Year's eve coming up, someone has to organize our meet-ups. And since no one ever volunteers, I figured no one would object to my assuming my traditional role of poor sap hoping to establish some sort of cohesiveness in a group notorious for choking. Though I might be jaded from past experiences, I apparently make up for it by being even more delusional and hoping that this actually works out for once. Here's praying that more than 6 people and their pills show up.
So, if you're going to spend your New Year's eve at CELEBRATION 2005, ARIA or STEREO, and hope to meet up with a bunch of TAs for old time's sake, or because you're curious as to what we look like, or need "hook-ups", or because you have no friends and want to feel like you belong to a group, please join us :)
I have a couple of meet-up places in mind, specifically:
McLean's Pub --- Pub
Address: 1210 Peel, Montreal
Telephone: (514) 393-3132
Map: Click here
Website: Click here
Walking distance from Bell Center: 5-6 minutes
Great Irish Pub. Well known by Montreal peeps, and for good reason. Great atmosphere, good food and drink, pool tables, dart boards and so forth.
Hurley's Irish Pub --- Pub
Address: 1225 Crescent Street, Montreal
Telephone: (514) 861-4111
Map: Click here
Website: Click here
Walking distance from Bell Center: 5-6 minutes
Another great Irish pub also well known by the locals. Great atmosphere, good Irish music, always had a good time when I went there back in my undergrad days :p Here's a review: Click here
If you have other ideas in mind, please suggest them as soon as possible so that we can organize this properly. I'll start making a roll-call as soon as these events get closer. For now, tentatively post whether you think you'll make it or not. |

I don't know about this year, but I know for a fact that last year, there was no charge, at least for McLean's pub (we ended up going there right before Celebration). At any rate, if you plan on organizing something in Old Montreal, keep us up to date. More options are always better than less. |

Ehh I haven't been around for awhile and I don't really know any of you. Maybe I'd just pass by to say hi if I'm not doing anything (which i probably won't). |
