I wouldn't go so far as to say he 'hates' his own kind. He is able to make fun of all types, making fun of your own race is the 'safest' kind. Note though that he is not impersonating Jewish stereotypes at all, like Chapelle is with his. What Borat does is slide in stereotypical comments about Jews, and in that 1 instance, getting them to sing along without even batting an eye, and it proves to you how stupid (or racist) society really is. |
