Replaced my 14+ year old Mackie 1202 (the original model) with a new 1202 VLZ Pro.

I know the 1202 may seem small, but I've never run out of inputs, so a 12 in mixer is all I need.
It sounds WAY better then the older model. My monitors (event PS7's) now actually sound like monitors rather then boom box speakers.

Next, I replaced all my mess of cheap power strips with a Furman rack mount power conditioner. Not only because I've had a bad ground "hum" in my studio, but also because I wanted a nice organized place to wire up all my equipment. I don't believe that power conditioners really improve your sound, but I do think it can help avoid static and other electric problems.

The one second to the bottom. It fixed my studio "hum" and now I just have one fat snake of cables instead of spaghetti on the floor.

I bought a Kawai K5000S off Ebay for $449 to use as my main controller.
It's an additive synth and sounds different then anything else out there. Very unique sound, awesome textured keys, not an analog wanabe. My only complaint is that it is a bitch to program and learn the OS. Luckily it has tons of knobs to tweak patches and I can always get a sound diver for it.

Found a pod XT pro used for $399 in mint/new condition:

These go for ~500-600 on Ebay so I just had to get it. Plus I needed to replace my old pod which I sold a year ago and have not been able to record my guitar or bass since. The Pod is the best FX processor/direct in box for guitars.
