the whole walking around thing is just a mystery and will always be a mystery... thers always mass amounts of people just roaming around, despite them possibly being fans of the music, i dont get it tho and never will... haha |
i actually do this sometimes. sometimes i just restless and i like to move around and change scenery. i get pretty claustrophobic and like to move if i feel too closed in. |

opener played some horrific tracks as usual strangely
however did much better for just 30 mins or so after
tiesto left anyway the dutch guy started magnificently
only to literarily collapse within a matter of minutes
by then a superb compilation of tracks full of electric
guitars vocals and un climatic semi build ups resulted
in a rather disoriented and flowless night in spite
that he was able to threw a cool classic track from
time to time the evening progress without direction
or a steady and refined theme or feeling finally by 4:14
the trance-formation began and by then tiesto became
unstoppable as he gracefully crafted a fantastic
electroniconcert… full of energy and playfulness that
virtually captured every inch of the venue as he
projected ceaselessly the most enjoyable vibenergy
yeah the line reached 10 ave upon my arrival and
surprisingly managed to get in within 10 mins… simply
walked to thentrance waited for few minutes and right
in front of 10+ crobal personnel walked right nexto
the velvet rope as they looked away frome for that
preciousec or two…

The explanation is far more simpler actually. For some reason the intake of U.S. pills produces the effect of "looking for something I dont know what around the dancefloor while bumping into people" illness. Whereas outside U.S. this syndrome is non-existent.
Seriously its the drugs. Plain, old, simple drugs. If you noticed its only YOUNGER clubbers that actually act like that. |

the reason why those two 'trademark tiesto' tracks are low points is two-fold: one, i can't stand hearing then anymore; two, they're not that good to begin with. there is a direct correlation between the amount of cheers those tracks get and the cluelessness of the crowd.

Interesting statement. So you mean to tell me that because the crowd is clueless of what the track is and therefore does not cheer it is automatically presumed that the track is awful? Dont think so. The first time Tiesto spun his Tube in NYC the place was silent for the duration of the track. So? It is considered to be one of his best works ever. So I dont think this correlation qulifies as a benchmark of how good the track is. Plus I am pretty sure that about 70% of the people would not give a rat's ass if it was Love Has Come Again playing or Oops I Did It Again... |

i didn't say the crowd is clueless as to what the track is, i meant they were clueless to edm and tiesto, period (clearly they're familiar with a song whose words they can butcher karaoke-style). i think they're poor tunes to begin with, and if you enjoy them then more power to ya', but to still be hearing them in tiesto sets with regularity at the end of 2005, is stale and ridiculous -- whatever the quality may be. by the end 2001 i was tired of hearing every dj spin lost vagueness and 10 in 01 and those were dope tunes to begin with.
and 'the tube' as a universally acknowledged 'best tiesto works ever'? hardly, by anyone's estimation. (having attended over two dozen tiesto gigs since 2001 i don't recall ever hearing it either, which would make sense since it hasn't been playlisted in a single recorded tiesto liveset since '98 -- and that's over 220 of 'em).
but diff'rent strokes for different folks... |

Going for the Guiness world record as "the longest run-on sentence evar"? :stongue:
More on topic: why are people surprised about Tiesto nights being ? Well, let's consider the facts:
1. Tiesto is overhyped byproduct of ignorance unworthy of spinning in a local dive club.
2. ah, to with it - don't want to post what everyone knows already.
PvD, Armin, Ferry - all bring great vibe and great crowds. Even bad sets are still good. Tiesto - as many times as I've seen him, I never left WOWed. It's always 3/10 or 4/10 experience. Maybe it's his attitude, ego, lack of tallent, etc. But whatever it is - it shows.
Sorry, just my own opinion. |

| Sat was my first time seeing tiesto. After all the hype i wasnt really expecting much... but he did impress me. I dont think he was worth waiting in line for 3 hours, but he was pretty good. I'd give it a 7/10, where as PvD at roxy got a 9/10. |

| Well I'm glad everyone agrees about the crowd that sucked! I was all the way up front, and my goodness how sore I was yesterday AND today from the crushing. But it was really worth it for Tijs. I lept up and touched his hand (drool) and cried during "Adagio" and freaked when he played "Nyana". He also saw me say "you're nuts" and smiled. PS-he played "Flight" because my new-found friend was holding the vinyl up, and when T saw that he ran back to his CDs and grabbed it. Think I'm kidding? Afraid not my friends...I saw everything that man did, including those weird dips when he dissapeared behind his turntables. Haha, what a lunatic. Oh, and does anyone know why he left like in the middle of his set, then returned? I laughed so hard. Hi to Jen, Janelle, Steve and Rob that I met briefly. |
