and as for this mix, you already know what i think alan.... piano sends chills up my spine, everything is mint... almost. wish you just kept that high energy during the mainsection as it sounds a bit too empty coming out of the breakdown.
alan, you may not wanna keep this download up if you want any shot at the vinyl! |

I already know it's not going on the vinyl. |

I thought I would avoid that since the track is a pretty chill one (only 136 bpm). | :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :whip: |

good stuff. all of the elements sound warm & crisp. some interesting effects going on as well..
i agree the track needs a clap though.. the bassline gives it plenty of drive, but a clap would add some extra flavour, especially during the main part, which sounds rather empty. the track needs a few more percussive elements there to fill up the space between the lead and the bassline.
nice work overall :) |

Yeah, I can definitly see that now.. how the lack of percussion is taking away from the drive of the track... especially after the massive breakdown.
There's still time before the vinyl comes out, so I may very-well redo this remix if TTR so desires.
Thanks for the comments iloop and TOR :) |

interesting intro, me like
the kick sounds ok, but it's kinda weak I think...the bass is good. I'd add another layer on top of it.
didn't really like the buildup, it's slow, missing some percs and some other synths. fxwise - great job, really good.
break now...wow! awesome piano...I love what you did with it.
climax is.....average. the lead sounds good, reminds me of Carl B - All Day (the TA version), but percussions - where? sounds kinda empty.
well good remix overall, kinda laid back. I dig your piano melody :) |

i used it in a set today and it seemed weird played after vinyl. you should raise the volume on the main melody before the break and make it more chaotic (delay reverb etc) imo.
it felt empty compared to the other tracks and that takes away the energy. |

Sorry to hear that, I didn't hear any complaints from St. John and Activa though. Thanks for playing and commenting, though. :) |
