I'm a definately gonna try 2 go, even tho this in do is gonna cost me £15 for ID then another, what was it £25? for the ticket, £40, plus drink, fairly expensive :) But who cares?

Evil Bastard do U look 17 or older, coz I look like around the 17/18 mark, also did the guy ask you for address and ?

Its a real ta for me coz I know no-one my age who actually likes any of our music, they ALL listen to in punk-rock and skateboard like crazy, I just don't gettit? What's wrong with football and Trance?

Also I have no idea how they are gonna cram that many ppl into the Telewest, I thought the seats were fixed down too? Dunno 'bout you lot but arena 1 looks like the workZ: Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Signum :)

hahaha evil_batsard i stand corrected, that is SHEER AWESOME GENIUS :D i am also actually 18 but dont have no ID, but i get told i look 20+ so i dont get any probs :) but i might have to gander up there and do that so i have a backup :) im sure coup if ur worried about an Id there will be some colleges in notts that do the same? :D hehehehe

and project T yeh, there been a big influx of Linkin park wits over the last year, they anoy me, they try to look different from everyone else but the all look the same... like tramps! :stongue:

as for the telewest, is there a sepreate bit to the ice hocky rink? so theres two arenas? or r the gonna split them and have the dj boxes at either ends of the stadium? and i think the chairs are fixed, but maybe they can flip them over so theres just like standing area. i dunno ive never been there b4... :conf:

I hav no idea what they will do, coz I've only been once to watch a basketball match and everything was fixed and I'm sure they either hav a thing which goes on the ice to make the wooden floor or the other way round, either way its a bit of a hassle. There is concerts on regularly but I remember my sister going to see Boyzone ages ago, like 4/5 years and there was seats out and there was a new balcony put up.

BTW, its impossible to mix, if you go across the redheugh bridge its the 1st thing u see on ur left, its purple and green. What r u guys doing 4 transport and accomodation? Or are you sleeping in ur cars or just goin straight home?
DuMonde TrAnCeR
well my mate went to a stereophonics concert last month n they left all the chairs up, but surely they can for this because it wud be rather silly, mind u unless u wanted to chillout! oh aye i jsut thought the bars are under the stands in the ice rink right? like a normal footy stadium?

does it have a basketball court and an ice rink. or did they just cover the ice rink for the basketball game?

about getting there, well its a fiver max by bus from darlo, and anyoen coming from far afield maybe best off meeting us in darlo for reasons explained earlier and then goin to newcastle from there. then afterwards we get the early morning bus home (im gonna get the timetable on monday) and then the other can either go straight home or if they have to wait we can go to middleton and chill at mine until its time for them to leave. im just giving u an option if u wanna go there urself u can but i dont mind anyone meetin up with me n gibbo first as it is probably an easier option :)

hopefully come march it will be lightish at 6am! :D

They just cover the court, 1 way or the other, they play all there, sport and music, I think when Tiesto was here last year or 2000 he played at the Telewest but I'm not sure coz I didn't know about it.

Where are you all gonna meet up in Newcastle, and do you hav 2 fone the ticket line or the arena?
DuMonde TrAnCeR
i think you can do both, there will be certain places (ie the arena, HMV stores etc) where you can just buy the tickets straight off, other wise u can ring the ticket line or the arena and get them thru the post. hopefully u can order them online so i can just get my dad to do it and save some hassle! and as for where were meeting up, is the telewest closest to the mtro centre or newcastle tiwn centre, coz i think thats the only two stops the newcastle-darlo bus does, as i said ill have to check out monay. if so whichever stop it is closest to is where we will meet, or some landmark nearby it hehe. probably best of sortin this out in a month or so tho when the events nearer! i cant wait! :):):):)

edit: but me and gibbo are gonna buy our tickets in the next two weeks to avoid the last minute rush, coz its only once a year the north eats gets such a huge event! :)
Project T
The bus will probably go to the central station which is around 1/2 mile walk to the arena. But it'll probably b easier to find every1 in the Metro Centre bus stop, I dunno? How much is the train, that could b cheaper and quicker.

You know that sig I started doing, then you said you wanted a landscape background so I stopped? Well this is as far as I got, thought you might as well have a look. If you don't want it just say so. I wont take offence, but I can use that background img elsewhere.

edit: tell you what, I'll post the img yeah? :p

Coup
oo my gosh! that is a very clever idea if i must say so! do all colleges do this? i dont think id be able to do it at my college, being in there database he'd see my pop up on his comp and say "oi" if we goto this in newcastle, ill come early and do this? raaa

edit: i can do it where i live, there are two colleges, one 1 mile and one 5 miles :p

ie ur own sig :) coz that background is mint! :D

oh aye and coup my college has student ids but theyre in home made laminated card bastards :( and the college of technology doesnt have any i dont think, and even if they do theyre card too. so my college sucks basically!

gibbo17
the telewest arenas seats are flexible i think and can all be taken down but somwtimes they leave em up for concerts coz stereophonics ypu cant really dance to that properly can you now
evil_bastard
Project T, I look around 17/18. Lately though, I've been getting into about 75% of bars, though over 90% if my mates with passport IDs go in first.

I find for some reason it's easier to get into clubs.

I think he might have asked my address, most likely he did. It doesn't matter though, all that is for is contacting you etc in case of an emergency or change of plans. They won't. I can't guarantee it working at other coleges, but it's worked for about 5 of us at Newcastle College, and we don't even go there. Basically, they don't really care, they print you off a card that'll give you access around the building including the library. As long as you look older than 16 he's not really going to give you hassle, afterall, all he's doing is letting you go on a CLAIT course!

*edit* I do vaguely remember him asking me a few complicated questions about income etc. I just said I'll pay in cash, so as to avoid confusion. Basically, don't say yes to anything that's going to lead to more questons/form filling. You want to get your card and bugger off. As far as he's concerned, you're just a budding 18 yr old who wants to do a 3 day computer course. The whole process took about 5 minutes **

As for where we're all meeting, I believe Central Station is the best option for several reasons.

Firstly, it's accessable by coach, train, and metro. If we all wait by the main entrance, that's very easy to find.

Secondly, it's only five minutes walk from the infamous Bigg Market, essentially a couple of streets of Newcastle PACKED with pubs, couples shagging, people puking up, and generally people having a good time.

Thirdly, there are cash machines at Central Station, and toilets in the pub right next to it, which are both handy.

I know the Bigg Market extensively after many nights out there. I know the quayside a bit less. I definitely advise you all go to Liquid Bar first. It's probably the loudest bar I've ever been in. It plays trance and house music, and is bloody excellent. Their drinks aren't the cheapest however, so it's best go when already drunk.

I would suggest us meeting at Central Station about 8-9pm, going round a few of the bars until 10pm, then going to Liquid until 11pm, which is a bit like a mini-club, and is a hell of a laugh.

Then we dance the night away until 6am.

Then, if anyone's got their house free, we could always have a house party :D (I'm not volunteering, I live in a family of 7!)
