Midi Plugins

Hi,

I've just downloaded a couple of free vst/midi plugins (e.g karma delay, reverb etc.) and I cannot work out how to assign these to various tracks. I know you add an FX channel but I don't know how to route the plugin to a certain track or channel. Can someone tell me how to do this please? I use Cubase SL.

Thanks.

Ah, and I was wondering why no-one would reply. I have looked through the manual but I couldn't find anything on midi plugins - guess I'll have to look a bit harder then, eh? ;)

Midi Plugins should be added to a midi channel and are not VST plugins so you don't put them in your VST folder either.

They should register as a midi plugin when you install them for your specific sequencer. if not you can register them by running this command:

regsvr32.exe midipluginname.dll

to uninstall/unregister them:

regsvr32.exe /u midipluginname.dll

First of all, these things are audio plugins, not MIDI plugins.

Second, FX channels are Send *only*. You can never route an output to an FX channel, only the sidechain (send).

Third, RTFM and don't try to tell us that you already did. And don't look for "MIDI plugins" because that's got nothing whatsoever to do with what you're trying to do.
