I just read the review of the Denon DN-HP1000 headphones in iDJ magazine. They like em, and mention that they can be strong contenders with the rest of the cans out there of the same class.
They've also got the largest drivers of them all (by only 3mm more though) and can do the 180 degree swivel on each earpiece.
I really like em design-wise and will prolly grab a pair to replace my HD280s as my DJing headphones, but still use my HD280s for produciton monitoring. Heck their CDplayers are doin great, the headphones must be awesome!!
Any1 else seen em? in person? tried em on? are they heavy? comfy? sound nice? |

When are companies going to realise that plastic svivelling hinges are and break from stress
These will probably have exactly the same problem as the sony 700s and pioneer 1000s |

Using metal for the joints... plastic for the rest to keep them light.

| i think a great idea would be to insert a metal framework, like a stainless steel wire into the headband and into the sviwel mechanism, while leaving the the rest of it from plastic. that way it would become more durable and have acceptional weight |

well since the swivel function isn't really necessary, im guessing hes advocating the sony v506/v6 style...
But i could be wrong. |

| they look far too big & bulky! and look like they could be quite heavy too. think il stick with the tech's 1210! |

| people people...there's not need for metal...there are plastic polymers out there that can be used and will not break...the problem is that will make the headphones a bit more expensive than right now... |

Apparently the quality is higher.. they dont looks as hefty, more of a studio headphone maybe?
As soon as my 3000s are broken and out of warranty its v506's for me. |
