I agree with this. This track IS nearly complete. It does need a bit more boost on the kick drum and the snare is a little too light in my opinion.
HOWEVER, I think this track is complete as it is. Very proggy and deep. I really like this track. Well done! |

| I like the sound of this one, very listenable. This is a lot like what I like to write. Like Dj_Aaron_P said, it could possibly be proggy, as is. Then again, it could use a little melody. I've been told I'm good at coming up with melodies, I might give it a shot. Give us an MP3 instead of a wave, easier to download. We can send you back a wave of the melody parts, or even just a midi file, and you can insert those into the song. Can you just upload the MP3 to a file sharing site where we can download it? |

Thanks guys. I've never gotten so much response on these boards. Probably I always get buried in the promotion forum. :D Nobody knows my name anyway. Maybe someday I'll be famous around here. I just finished another track. It's pretty decent. I'll post it over in the promotion forum.
As for the other song, I have two people currently working on it. I'll see what they come up with. Thanks for all the replies!

I'd say you'd do well to just introduce some more percussive elements. Maybe some bongos and some kind of techno-ish bandpass drum, if that makes any sense. You may also want some kind of acid sounds, but that's more a matter of opinion.
Basically, I'm saying it would be a shame to try to force a melody onto something that's not feeling a melody. Some things just aren't melodic. |
