I remember seeing Markus the first time when he opened for Armin back october 04... I had a nice time then plus its my birthday on Dec 31 so that will make it great night out ;)... Just praying it doesn't snow a lot around then.... :whip:

I'm definitely there + 5. I agree about the whole going out the night before NYE, as NYE is usually crowded and 5x more expensive than it otherwise would be.

Markus has got to be one of my top DJs right now (love that McProg!), definitely been diggin' his latest GDJB sets and always throwing in the classic of the week at the end of his set has been key (how can you deny the likes of Andy Ling - Fixation or BBE - Seven Days & One Week?...*cough, cough, Rob* jk:)).

Anyway, this should be one of the best shows, music wise, of the year for me. Can't wait to see all you guys there--it's been a while.

BBE - Seven days & one week is definately one of my all time favorites. Focking good track. I'm gonna pm his wife right now:gsmile:

james lauer's set was incredible....especially the first 45 minutes(after the main room was opened up). deep dark techy prog that had me hypnotized....did anyone ID any of those first few tracks? i'm a new james lauer fan for sure....

downstairs was some nice groovin' house early on which turned into hip hop later.

markus was excellent as expected.....mixing was spot on....i really liked the track selection at the beginning of his set, i heard a lot of good tracks that i didn't expect to hear and was grateful. later on, his set seemed to mellow out....people were getting a little worn out on the floor. a few people were complaining about the sound levels later on. but damn, i had a good night!

cool running into phreek again :stongue: hope your night kept going well!

special thanks to drEamer for dragging me out of madison to chicago to party!

I'm from new york and it was my first time to come to Soundbar , the sound system kicks ass!! love it, took a bunch of pics i got a real cool shot of markus, wish i can party it up with the chicago TA's sometime in the future :) , I was there with my girl... I was hanging up in the front most of the time..... the crowd was cool , nothing like new york.... new york clubs we got too many pushers and shovers just totally suck.... I felt very comfortable and relax @ soundbar , will def visit again , I may hit up vision sometime soon........ hope everyone had fun as I did last night , I was totally trasheddddd drank a little too much Jack and coke......:eyes: :eyespop: :eyes: :nervous: :eyespop: :eyes:

so due to the weather (which apparently wasn't bad at all, south of Milwaukee) and being sick, we decided to just stay in last night... i'm sorry we missed out on Topher's birthday celebration and i was really looking forward to partying with everyone, but when i woke up at 6:30am this morning with terrible body aches i was really glad i didn't go out.

sounds like it was a great night though and i hope you all had a great time!!

hope everyone has a safe and happy NYE... see you all next year! :D
