I just got a 1210mk2 in the mail...(yes I knew it had a pitch problem)
The red dots just JUMP randomly up or down according to where you put the fader. Anybody know anything about this problem? What it could be? |

| And how the hell do you get the platters off these babies? |

to get the platter off, take off the slip mat, put your fingers in the circular holes in the platter and pull upward. Push down on the spindle in the middle with your thumb or something to give you pressure in both directions. It is going to be hard, but it will come off. Just make sure you pull evenly.
Chances are that if its got some age on it its going to be difficult to get the platter off. Just keep pullling, it'll break free eventually. |

Ok...it appears as if somebody has poured all inside the fader and some gunk stuff is on the pitch board

| Hmmm, is this an ex-club unit? Possibly someone spilled a drink in there? |

ok...I got the pitch working so it doesn't jump...but now I push it either way it gets faster...going towards the middle goes slower

| The board is probably shorting somewhere if it is not changing pitch in an organized fashion. Not sure if that is easily fixable, but try looking around for replacement parts. |

ok so I came to a conclusion...when you press down on the pitch fader when going into the negatives it'll go to the right speed.
So I came to a conclusion I needed a new pitch fader...I got one and i'll solder it on the pcb in school. |
