well,
the word обезьяна is feminine to begin with... so there's no way to make it masculine. only plural : обезьян ... technically he can still call you that.
and моя is the possessive pronoun, what he meant to say was happy birthday my little monkey, so no, it was in reference to you, not to himself.
so in conclusion, happy birthday my little monkey :p ;) |

Yea, but he said Mo-ya, not moy, which is possessive in the female tense. Malinkaya, again female, and well obezyana cant be changed. Does it not work saying Moy malinki obezyana?
