correct, his mixing is as clean as a whistle, and at the end of the day, that is probably the most important element in djing, and lister has that down to an absolute tea
Firstly this is not against Lister because the couples of times I've heard I thought he was great. But as one of the uneducated, and let's face it we are a huge majority, mixing is about the last thing on our list. Track selection and just plain passion for the music are much furthur up there. Mixing is important to your fellow Djs, but we just want to have fun.

this is a very valid point, nothing to do with lister, i wasn't even there and its safe to say he mixes better than me but a good mix into an unknown song (insert uneducated crowd here) is never going to have a better impact than a crap mix into a well known song

Its like cake, the mixing is just the icing on the cake in some cases

.....i think that makes sense:conf:

sorry mate but i disagree. we were at altitude for recovery on sunday morning and some obscure dj (j/k :p) dropped laurent garnier - man with the red face (jan driver rmx) and it went ing right off.

now theres only about 5 other ppl there who actually know what the track was. (and we all interestingly started going out in 2000-ish which was when that track was released.

good music is just good music. it will went off ************ of it was released on transmat or electronic elements :p that pure and simple. none of those recycled bleeps and squeak bull can do any better (even if i can be a sucker to that too, sometimes :toothless)
