Review Fur nightclub...Washington DC

Hey guy!
I'm now down here in Washington DC, the city is very cool, and the staff at job is awesome...they're all party animal!
Last night we went to Fur nightclub, it was good, it's like mostly a Crescent style club (there is a dress code, no hat, no baggy jeans, no t-shirt, no printed shirt ect.), with 2 big room, (hip-hop, and electronic), the first one was empty but the house room was like just half pack. I met 2 tranceaddict of Washington, who are very into it, such nice guy. They introduce me in dj booth, talk with the dj a little, drink a vodka/redbull. He's name is Dan Samson, he's a resident Dj for Glow event at the club.
The music was ok, mixing house-prog, and some nice trance track, it done the job as well. The sound system is very good, no noisy or distortion as many club in Montreal.
The girls are SOOOOOO nice, we were sure everyone is over than 21, it cost 20 dollar to go inside, so the natural selection is going the rest. :toocool: :toocool: :toocool:
To bad I could'nt take photos inside the club:whip::whip::whip::whip::whip:
The only bad thing i found... 11 buck US for a vodka redbull, that's to much IMO, even if is a "BCBG club"
They stop selling alcool at 3AM but the still open until 5-6AM depend of the event and the people inside the club.
I had a great night, I'll check this club again, maybe next week for Matthew Dekay, and for sure the 17th for Danny Howells.
Anyone of you wanna do road trip to Washington???? :) |

Glow was on 7th st nw when I lived in Dc. That block has been demolished and Glow is no more. Fur is the reincarnation of Glow -about 8 blocks to the east.
I never really enjoyed what DC had to offer. Not sure why anyone from Montreal would make a trip there given all that Montreal has to offer. NYC would be a wiser trip. |

I know this. He was asking if anyone from here wanted to go there. Unless someone is already friends with him, I did not see a reason why anyone would make the trip there just for the club alone.
Then again, I haven't been to fur specifically, so maybe it is worth the trip. I dunno. Its just when I lived there ,I didn't like glow or anything else about DC. Just trying to save someone the disappointment. |
