Alright, here it goes...
I can't say enough about this party...
I was so excited about it that the night before, I couldn't sleep, I felt like a little kid on christmas eve trying to go to sleep.
When we got there the first tune I heard was around the world, and I knew we were in for an awesome day.
As for the TA invasion, couldn't have been better!
Usually when I go to the zone there aren't tons of people I know there, and having so many friends there yesterday made it so much fun. People were everywhere...
We ruled that !
Lots of people say they didn't like Scumfrog's set, and I agree that the first hour was a bit slow...
However, the next three were insane!I thought his set was really dirty...
Scumfrog is so well suited to the zone environment, the darkness and the intimate atmosphere is sooo good!
This was one of my favourite parties in the last long time, I hope it does become an annual thing.

I must admit it was a cracker moment...
I did have some people sign up yesterday, we are a collection of people working toward the common goal of comfort zone tourism, I sense a successful future.

I know how you feel nat! (except I was right hammered drunk on friday night) didnt sleep at all that night either (or the next day) (except for a like a little pass-out session around 4 or 5 am from all the drinking) LOL
but i think i got maybe a good 4 or 5 hours sleep on saturday night.

Thats exactly it. Said it perf. Just go in w/ the right frame of mind to properly handle the situation that exists there, adn you'll have a bloody FAN-ING-TASTIC TIME! I sure as hell did (thought i must admit, that was NOT a usual comfort zone expereince.. hell, up until like 1pm-ish, i find that guv would be have been worse/sketchier on an avg. sat night than the zone was sunday morning! very usual i found it actually....... but always wonderful~!

THer's always next time babe! You never know, i could see that happening to me. Viva on the 30th, 270 for their 36 hour party, and we'll see whut happens... maybe before going back to 270, a Zone stop-off will be mandated!! LOL....
i love my zone tribal beats (almost as much as i love my trance)!!

Tony didn't like the other people I was talking to, so he made them go away...he was being kind of a bitch for awhile. But then I introduced him to everyone else...and much fun was had. |

im glad tony didnt hate me. ;)
i hear tonys a real jerk sometimes! :p but all it took was for lisa-loo to introduce him around and he became the nicest tony ever.
tony got pretty friendly near the end. im gonna start calling him Mr. Tony Rogers now!!! :D:cool: |

I will be definatly well rested babe! im catching up on sleep now hahah and about Marco v I'm all there in full effect!!!!!!! we are going to kill the dance floor as usual. Definatly see you there!!!! better get ready to dance it up ghetto style!!!! LOL

alrite, so i finally have some time to review the innaugural visit to the imfamous CZ....
breakfast at coras was great...thanks nat for organizing that...super nice place and the food was great! sausage and eggs might not have been the best thing to eat going into the zone...but at the time of consumption, it was magical.
standing in line you could definately see that this place was on a whole other level of sketch walking into that room for the first time was interesting...to say the least. it took a little while to take in the new settings. for the purpose that comfort zone serves....i think the set up of the place is perfect. it just has it's own distinct feel to it. as we finally made our way up to the front left where all the TA's were that is pretty much where i stayed the entire time....there were just so many TOTA's dominating the FRC to front left area...it was amazing. i think seeing all of the familiar faces and seeing the great tota vibe really made the day as good as it was.
and now to the toons....scumfrog was..........good, but did he really bring his "a" game for this gig? not at all. don't get me wrong....i still loved his set and pretty much every tune he played, but after seeing him absolutely destroy the guv in august with a barrage of dirty dirty dirty tracks dropped one after the other....i was expecting things to be a little more filthy...especially considering he was playing at the zone...infamous for dee derty uber haus. it was as if his set had a 4 song cycle to it. he would drop a nice groovy house track....get into a little bit of proggish sounding stuff...drop a bomb....than go into almost epic sounding haus tracks that were laced with trancey elements....i heard this cycle repeated at least 3-4 times throughout the course of his set....he never laid down a solid run of the dirty tribal that he has on previous occasions. another thing that really bothered me was finding out that he had his set mapped out on paper before he even hit the decks....not cool. on this day i have to say manzone and strong stole the show from jesse :(
overall, the zone was GT's and i could not have asked for a better environment to break the zone cherry in. i was told that the zone brings out a different style of dance in people....nada, katy, lars, lisa, and jo....you girls we're showing the entire club how good haus tunes are supposed to be danced to....way too impressive! :p even tho lisa is still in denial...you could see in her footwork where her true musical love lies :stongue: :D
i'd also like to add that peoples eyes look trippy as hell in that place, wow.
one more thing....if anybody knows the name of the track that scumfrog dropped that has the vocals "ive gotta find a way outta here" and that dirty ass guitar in it....that would be effin incredible...toon of the day for sure!
the whole pre zone, zone, after zone experience was completely
