ok, small question, where can i go to buy vinyls in brisbane? i know of central station records, but they seem to sell more dance music than the stuff that tranceaddict has. So anyone got a good site for these?!
thanks |

Well it seems to me as though if you want any specific non-commercial vinyls you're going to have to take a browse at an on-line overseas (or domestic if you can find one) vinyl shop.
I don't have decks (yet :) ) so it's not as though I'm out searching for vinyl all that regularly, but I've been out vinyl shopping with one of my mates who does, and believe me, if you're after anything specific it's probably easier (and not that much more expensive if you buy in bulk) just to do it on-line. Saves you the hassles and a whole lotta time.
Of course if you just want to "browse" vinyls in order to try out new stuff, then you're obviously going to want a real-life vinyl store, but seeing as I live in Melbourne I probably can't help you with that.
So yeah. Sorry. :) |

yup I agree w/ Renegade
check out online stores in Aus (c the stores I posted in another thread in this forum) - there should be others in Sydney that I didn' post. c if u can get ur hands on a Sydney-based streetpress publication which should have heaps of info that u r after
apart from that dl everything that comes up on TA and nething that takes ur fancy do some browsing online and pick it up that way

Also have a look what your local dance arena (part of sanity) has. I've got some great stuff from the sanity in melbourne, they have a good range and tons of different kinds of stuff. I'm not sure if the Brisbane one is the same, but if it is, it's a good bet.
Now i'll get back to playing dreamcatcher, i don't wanna lose my way, the positiva promo I picked up at dance arena for $5!!! :-)

| Don't try your local sanity, try the one in Burke Street mall, city. Upstairs is the dance arena section, with decks, carts, vinyl, etc. I got Perpetuous Dreamer, the sound of goodbye white label for $5! I love the $5 vinyl, i love it.! |

Hey guys!
There's a few other places in Brissie where you can find vinyl! :)
As stated before hand - you Have Central Station on Elizabeth Street in the City, and also Dance Arena (Sanity branch-off) in the mall.
But there's two more! :P
Butterbeats - in the valley (great shop - they have a second hand section up stairs as well, with a load of great classics)
&
Record Market (go up the stairs to the upper floor). Record Market is on... Adelaide St? in the city centre... Basically right across from city Hall..
Anyhow - hope that helps!
Cheers,
Bernie! |
