how do u cope with being sick?????

GET THIS!... (crazy story intro)

After coming home from CZ Sunday night my left eye was really watery and felt like it "stung" - obviously irritated.

Monday morning I wake up and my left eye is crusted shut, the eyelid covered in gross stuff. :sadgreen: It was (and is) not pretty. Visualize my healthy eye being a little mooguai and my "sick" eye being a slimy occipital gremlin! Remember the Chinese guy? Whatever you do - DO NOT FEED THE MOOGUAI AFTER MIDNIGHT.

It turns out I have an infection in my left eye to the point where I can barely see out of it (due to the perpetual "oozing"). I feel like a pirate. :thepirate

I'm coping by keepin' on truckin and fightin' the good fight (and with anti-biotic eye drops, 2 drops, 3 times daily).

you must sleep! LOTS! take nyquil at night to get you to sleep abit better and out faster, and if you must got to work and feel like total , you can take dayquil during the day. it makes you feel so much better, and will help you get thur the work day easyier.

drinks lots of water and liquids kelly!! ESPECIALLY NOW! haha!
and again, sleep lots and rest :)

theres nothing magic that will get your body better, its just gotta fight it, and all you can do it help your body put more energy into fighting it. by sleeping lots, and staying hydrated

Hot tea with A LOT of lemon and honey (and I don't mean honey-lemon tea bags!)
and before you go to bed, stir up a cup of NeoCitran. I think you can drink that every 6 hours or so. Sleep like a baby on that stuff :)
Lots of Vit C basically to boost your immune system :)

I've got freakin' pink eye. I had it in one eye and now it's in the other eye.

Sweety, I hope you feel better soon!

Take some time off rather, do not try to cope with it by going to work and doing your daily duties. Yes you might survive, but your killing your immunne system that way, and you don't wanna do that!

Rest, sleep lots, take whatever medicine you need to keep you rested and your body will be fine sooner than later plus eat lots of vitamins like oranges and lemons to keep your immunne system up and running!

I get very similar symptoms from allergies.. the key is to NOT touch/rub your eye at all.. I find when lying down a cool damp cloth draped over my eyes keeps me from rubbing them..

nice gremlin analogy :p :thepirate

I hear that. It's amazing the transition from 'glad to be out on my own' to 'want to be at home with mom' that happens whenever I get sick.

That said - bed rest, hot drinks and vitamins all work. And if it persists more than 2 days I would pay a visit to the family doctor.

Get well soon Kelly! :)
