Because his music promotes drug use.
I know this sounds like a jayx1esque thread but before you support banning artists because of what they promote, it could be your fav artist next. |

| I believe your making reference to the 50 cent item, and you're right to due so. Precident is a scary thing and when you start setting questionable ones you never know what could happen. |

well... there's "promoting" drug use (by playing trance music...?), and then there's the kind of rubbish 50 cent goes on about (Drugs, thugs, murder...)
Plus, 50 Cent has spent 7+ months in prison on felony drug charges... as far as I know, Tiesto has no criminal record.
Something interesting I found:
50 Cent, on his video game (which is rated Mature 17+):
"Just because it is rated mature doesn't mean you shouldn't buy it for your kids."
I would like to see him turned away at the border for his criminal record alone. |

1. In what track does Tiesto promote drug use?
2. Many tracks that DO reference drug use are produced by producers, in studios - and never performed live. The only one I can think where the person who created a track that referenced drug use explictly and has performed it live is Green Velvet. |

"Sex, DRUGS, and Rock n Roll"... sound familiar to anyone? An entire genre was built off of the dream of being a rock n roll superstar living this lifetstyle...
Besides... people do drugs at all types of concerts regardless of the genre... why does Trance "promote" this more? Perhaps more people do it in a club environment... but how does trance promote it more? |

i've heard hundreds of tracks with drug connotations preformed live in edm clubs.
tiesto also promotes club events where drugs get consumed.

| a good amount of people think electronic music=rave scene=drugs. Which yes in some cases is true, but really anywhere you go drugs are usually around. club, house party, a park (lol), a creep ally, anywhere. And yes many tracks do make referance to drugs, but as ppl mentioned before so do many other types of music. I love tiesto! lol, i think its the whole rave scene that people automatically jump to the conclusion that everyone is on drugs. Not true! |
