Yes. The return was expected by many. The wait is over. Happiness will reign again! A sport is to once more be dominated by one of the greatest players to ever play the game. InterMilan already mentioned it in the Sports Random Thread but I thought the return of Martina Hingis deserves an individual thread. She, the "the youngest ever world No.1 and second-youngest Wimbledon singles champion," will once more dominate tennis.

She's attractive, unlike Mauresmo. |

oh yeah .
forgot to post a thread about this.
she has lost a step or two ( i saw her on tv a couple of times for us tennis tours with jim courier, malvai washington, dan jensen, gigi fernandez, mark phillipouisis, etc ...) ... she's still looking hot ...
picked up a few pounds since her early days, but that could be beneficial .. because in the past, she was a hard hitter, because she threw her body into the ball , and was a smart player .
now, shes a little bit bigger , so she could hit the ball even harder than before.
go hingis ..
i am still sticking with my gal pal mauresmo  :nervous: |

Since you're open about your deep love for Mauresmo I might as well say that I also love Hingis.
I have yet to see her play but I would say she needs time to get back into it. But then again, I don't know how long she has been playing since her return. I'm just happy she's back. |

| Well, maybe he was a great one. But Oilers? What type of name is that for a team? I can just imagine the mascot. |

i cannot believe u wrote that....u must know nothing about tennis...why do u think she started loosing and then got injured?? the women coming into tennis, such as venus and serena and lindsay, were hard ball hitters, unlike hingis, which is why she started loosing to all of them
it is good to see her back..dont know how she will cope with all these teenagers that still hit harder than her...hopefully her smarts are enough to get her through to the top again |

she was a hard hitter before (that's how she beat the greater people like sabitini, sanchez vicario, seles, graf, although they were past their prime anyways .. ) .. but then the new women's generation came, and she took a step back in the food chain ..
that's why i say her weight gain could be beneficial, because she knows how to utilize her body weight on hitting the ball before, so with the extra pounds, she can hit even harder than before, which could may meet up with the williams sisters, davenport, etc ... however, that extra weight could be a downside, because it will slow her down a bit, since her speed was also another big reason why she won games . |

Gretzy nickname throughout his career was "The Great One".
As for Hingis, I'll be rooting for her comeback to be successful. She was always fun to watch in her prime |
