As far as casualties or significance of event? The Challenger blow up was pretty significant--as was Columbia to a similar extent. Are you looking for man-made destruction or natural disasters? Sounds like more of the former. How about PanAm flight whatever it was over Lockerbee Scotland? The San Francisco earthquake in the that late 80's/early 90's? There are near limitless possibilities. |
