I'm new, this is the first track I have bounced and tried to EQ. I would like to know about major problems + so I can get better. If my sounds way off it's probably because I don't have much exposure to new music- I left off raving + clubs in about '99.
Thanks. songs called Cajun Water

I think you have some nice elements here in the song, but they just arent in the correct sequence. What are you using to produce ?
Some sections of your track have me thinking was the guy on drugs when he made this. No joke. Not trying to be funny or sarcastic. I really am thinking huh ?? That acid line you have running through that cajun water track. Just no. No.
Some good stuff in there but you just need to sit down and rearrange some stuff and add some life to the production. And remove that acid thing its way off, and sounds like the notes its hitting are just random notes. |

| thanks for the input. the 303 is supposed to hit a little funny sounding cause of the pattern, not cause of off-timing. I'll work on it for sure. I know what you mean about song strx, I just wanted to let it kind of take itself out. |

i'm just going to say this:
the beat didn't even sound like it was in sync with the rest of the track. and this was made with a drum machine?
the bassline is pretty cool
the synths are just random noise, like eJay samples out of order
if you'd structure it better and remove that, almost inaudible, pad/dreamy synth, the track would be good
keep it up! |

Ouch. A blow to drug users everywhere. Would a 24/7 marij high do that to me?
The background lead, I call it- that inaudible synth. Sometimes I like it in the background. Makes it sound more gritty, minimilist, having the track at that level- it's like atonality of mixing. but I'll probably try out reworking it and trying it at a normal level. |
