i was pissed that i had to take the streetcar to work today. ugh i hate it - nobody seems to know how to move to the back of the car and i hate random people all squished up beside me. BUT i wasn't going to flail around in the snow and take twice as long to walk.
it's so pretty outside!!!! (if you don't look at the brown slush.) but seriously, there is not that much snow outside. people in toronto freak out over like one snowflake! :p |

yeah 10 cm and we get a snowfall warning.... WTF?
Im not that old yet i remember when 10 cm used to be called "scattered flurries and periods of snow"... never SNOWFALL ADVISORY.
People have gotten so weak. |

It took me three and a half hours to get to work. Absolutely insane. I should have just stayed at home. I got to York Mills subway stn somehow, but the busses couldn't make it up the hill, so the driver goes up Yonge to SHeppard, with intentions of taking it to Bayview and bayview down to YM. It took him an hour and a half to get to Bayview. I got fed up, took the subway from there to Leslie, waited there 20 minutes for no bus to arrive, then just walked another 30 minutes to work. INSANE. I don't understand why they started cleaning the roads so late today. This is just ridiculous. I'm taking an early day and getting the hell out of here.
On the plus side, ideal weather for those of you skiing/snowboarding. I think I'll hit the slopes tomorrow morning. Wanted to go tonight, but I fear this traffic will make it another 3 hour drive. |
