| i'll be in town this saturday dec10th and im looking for a good club/ party to check out....any suggestions? im there on business and saturday will be my only night to check the club scene.....thanks! |

what to do in dallas tomorrow....
well:
Obar (main st, east of akard - downtown) - very hip lounge. house music all night by the 12 inch pimps. very trendy. good scenery (ie: people). line forms around 11pm. doesn't get crowded till midnight.
Drama (75, quarter block south of knox - uptown) - house music / rap. also usually hosted by the 12 inch pimps. trendy. random cover charge. unpredictable crowd (sometimes good, sometimes sucks).
Old Republic (Hall St, just south of mckinney - uptown) - house music / lounge music. high drink prices. very upscale. usually a very pretty crowd. no dancing, just a loungey type place. nice to chill at.
Manhattan (Cedar Springs, near Cole St - uptown) - mostly rap. a little bit of everything. ridiculous drink specials on some nights. the drinks are almost always strong to the point of undrinkable. college crowd.
Purgatory (main st, east of pearl - downtown) - 5 level club featuring different music and themes on different floors. they dropped a lot of money on this project so it's nice. it can get pretty ghetto though.... nature of the beast with nightclubs.
