hey this question is going to sound very noobish and begginerish but what else can you do with trance, techno, house ect. besides just mixing back and forth? i checked that advanced mixing techniques thread but its too confusing can any tell me some basic things besides moving the crossfader left to right lol. thanks alot
Zild
For one try mixing with the upfaders instead of the crossfader.
pkcRAISTLIN

thats wat i mean since im new i dont even know what beat juggling is. what is it? lol

say you have two trance tracks on your decks both tracks will have an intro/outro right

get both your tracks bpm (beats per min) the same.

now you have done that have one deck playing (from begining)
now on your other deck cue up your track
start the track playing (make sure you can hear a beat and it is in time with your other track.

now you have done that try fading each track into each other (this is the very novice side of beat juggling)

its best to try and practise beat juggling with two tracks which are the same for the simple reason you dont have to mess with BMPin each track.

plus you would in theory be making your own remix of the track.

the best track i did beat juggling with was

Tiesto - Love comes again

i ended up making the track about 20mins long intead of about 7 mins

do a search on a dj called Jeff Mills or Dj trixsta they both do somesort of beat juggling in there sets.

i hope i have helped in making you an even better dj

kind regards MartinP :tongue2

It would be a re-work, or live edit, but not a remix, as a remix constitues taking the elements of the track and "re-mixing" them, which refers to "mixing" a track in a studio.
