Wanted to share this with all of you. This started as a remix (I'll give you much credit if you can tell which song) but then I changed the melody so much that it is safe to call it an original work. I am not completely happy with the final product so I don't know if I should send it out or not.

All feedback/criticism welcome. Thank you in advance. :)

EDIT:

fixed a couple things and here is the full:

Nice melodies.
The pads are great.
I like the toms.
hehe dirty bass and nice beat. I wasn't expecting that. Very original.
The melody in 1:40 isn't that interesting, nice sutters.
I don't like the sutters before the melody comes.
It sounds like a stuck cd.
The break is nice.
You need more fxes and you need to improve the main melody.

Nice chilled part.
I like the breaks, nice play with the breaks.

7/10.

Hey hey.

Not a bad little tune you've got here. Definitely on the trancey side of breaks. The melodies all flow together very nicely and the overall structure/arrangement all seems pretty solid. Not as many cool sounds as I normally hear in your tracks, but it's all good, sometimes simple is better. :) The toms are pretty cool, they really stand out - I would've liked to hear more of those. Stutter/gate work at the end seemed to work well for me, although some of the ones in the middle felt a little iffy.

Here's the thing, my one major criticism: it lacks the low-midrange and as a result feels really "floaty". This is just my personal opinion but I think it could use a lot more dancefloor drive... a punchier kick, a fatter bassline in the 250-800 Hz area, etc. Whatever you can do to give it more of a floor, you know what I mean? Maybe shorten the breakdown a little too (I'm sure a whole bunch of people are going to jump on my ass for saying that, haha).

Otherwise very good work as usual; I'm sure the labels wouldn't hesitate to sign it.

thanks for the feedback guys.

@diginut: i definately noticed the lack of bass, i will be fixing that and uploading a new sample soon. don't know if labels will take this one so i might just post a full or something if you all are interested

@takkra: drinking are teh awesome ;) dnb track is in the works, refining my methods on creating dark dnb... i have a lot of learning to do but would love to have some sort of feedback from dnb listeners/producers to get better. i'll post my work sometime here.

@omer: thanks for comments, i hate the lead and might change it, we'll see... i tried to keep this track original glad you liked some of my ideas

melody instrument sample sounds familiar... definitely but cant put my finger on it :P

sounds like an early BT breaks track. I like it.

the stutters works, keep it.

chopped vocal is a plus

the bassline is badass, not too overpowering, or weak.

pads = excellent

Great chilled out breaks track, it doesnt sound like it wants to be a dancefloor killer, some tracks just wanna be chilled out :)

Jeez mate, thats a ing awesome intro! :D

The breaks when they come in are great also. just adds to the atmosphere created brilliantly. Melody is nice. The structure of this is fantastic mate, how long you been producing for?

I seriously wouldn't change a thing. Damn, i probably sound as if i'm sucking up but hate being a liar. This is awesome mate, maybe the best thing i've heard in this forum for a while. ;)

loving the intro and the part near the end where it kinda slows down to half time. killer...

might be just me, but i'm not too fond of the kick in the main sections. sounds a little flat? but then i'm into my techtrance and harder stuff so probably just a personal preference.

melody-wise, gets a tad repetitive. but at any rate, it's a great track to listen to. curious what remix it was of though, and how it would sound with whatever melody it was supposed to be.

keep it up though, u know i dig your stuff. :p

The pads are great in this tune.. has such a relaxing atmosphere and the breaks themselves are nice.. this would be quite a nice set opener.. oh and that 'intelligent' section thats typical to you and tyler sounds nice

I didn't overly love that crunchy distorted bassy sound but thats just a matter of taste.
