Friday, May 30th, 2003 marked the first 1NT3RF3R3NC3 PRODUCTIONS (1P) event at System Soundbar in what now seems to be an eternity ago. On Friday, December 16th, 2005 John (E2EK1EL) and I will be hosting our final event at System Soundbar in what is possibly my last party involved with Interference. In these almost past 3 years I've seen many faces come and go. Clubs have come and gone. Promoters have come and gone. But what has always remained a constant has been the amazing energy and support from this incredible online community we all call Tranceaddict.
Tranceaddict has no doubt become a global phenomenon and many local regional gatherings have come about from the website's seemingly growing influence in the global Dance Music scene. However, among all the global communities that TA has helped to spur, everyone will always know that Tranceaddict started right here in Toronto, Canada and till this day, TOTA remains the largest and most active regional TA community in the world. The success that Interference has had in the scene is in no short part due to the incredible support which we've received from the TOTA community and its DJs.
This Friday will mark the end of an era as Interference hosts its final event at the club but it will surely not be the end of TOTA's involvement in the scene in Toronto and other parts of Ontario. Up and coming promoters like Paradigm are providing TAs with new and innovative events featuring an ever growing number of international trance DJs that have yet to grace our city. Established promoters such as Destiny and Temporal Rhythm continue to provide large scale events showcasing a wide variety of international talent and local DJs. We hope that you will continue to show them the same level of love and support that you have given us over these years as we look to make Toronto one of the premiere cities in the global Electronic Music scene.
In closing I would like to simply say that my time working with John and System Soundbar has been a fun and crazy ride. I've made many friends and have had many memorable moments which I will never forget. The new year will bring about many changes as I will be busy focusing more on my career and less time involved with promoting in general. I would like to thank several people especially for all their hard work and support for making so many of our events possible. In no particular order: Del (Swamper) for without him, I probably wouldn't be posting this right now. Thanks for making this wonderful community possible and giving us the opportunity to showcase some of Toronto's finest talent that we have here. John (E2EK1EL), amazing business partner and someone that I will see more than just an associate but a real true friend. Thanks for realizing that I was capable of more than just designing flyers but someone who could help make a difference in what we do. Alex & Ariel (DeepGroove) for seeing the potential we had bringing a great night to Breathe Fridays at System and helping us eventually move some of our nights most notably our Anniversary parties into the mainroom. RyanParks for always taking the most amazing pictures and helping to make a lacklustre night always look in top form with your incredible work. Thanks also to Beh (drgoodvibe) and Nathalie (tatgirl) for helping to capture some great memories throughout the years which I'm sure we'll come to cherish. Finally, thanks to Orin & the System Soundbar staff for giving us the opportunity to work with one of Toronto's finest clubs and giving us a place we could call home away from home. You will be missed!
A big final final thanks to all the amazing TRANCEADDICT DJs that we've had the pleasure of having spin for us at System Soundbar!!
