It may be just because this is my first NYE as a full-fledged and active TOTA, but wtf is going on with all these crazy parties?!?!?!
I can't decide whether to road-trip it to Montreal (and if there are others interested--car pool, bitches! ;))
Or to stay in Toronto and check out my favorite club right now, Viva (TWO FACKIN DAYS?!?!?!?!)
Or frickin DuMonde at the Docks that everyone knows killed TO at Republik last time they were here--not to mention Mr. Hahn himself ;) ;p
Or C+C which I totally missed :( and finally experience Mr. Carey's party scene?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
And the list goes on and on in Jeff's poll thread!!!

Dude, the parties this year can't even hold a candle to what Boa did last year: a 36-hour marathon with Demi, Chus & Ceballos, David Morales, Saeed Younan, Cevin Fisher, and Tom Stephan. I think in the end they actually went on closer to 48 hours. And having each major set so long also gave some of us enough time to catch Sander Kleinenberg at System earlier on.
I haven't seen anything this year that's not "just another EDM event". Nobody has really gone all-out and decided to do something weird and wacky. Which is fine - that's why I'll be at a house party, or failing that, at a much smaller event with a couple of friends. |

heres the thing. theres options other then edm parties.
i for one wouldnt be caught dead at an edm party on new years.
but thats just me. and Ive been clubbing for a long time and have hit every type of new years party there possibly could be.
in the long run on new years i just want to be with my friends sipping champagne cracking jokes fooling around and then waking up going skiing.
when it comes down to it its what ud rather be doing and the p[lace ud feel more comfortable at.
clubs for me on NYE are in zoo's ppl are all dolled up at the beginning of the night then by the end they look like ran over twice from being crammed into a in room with a billion other ppl trying to fight for a drink at the bar. |

so true. I'm celebrating NYE with family and friends. I hate to bring in the new year in a crammed stuffy venue where I'm ed outta my mind. But I will go to 270 after all the NYE stuff is done. Nothing like a lil dancin on Jan 1st.
btw fayraree, go to MTL, spend NYE with the person that matters the most. |

I agree this is the most meaningful way but I've never spent NYE in a club before (even when I was a gino! :wtf: ) so I'm looking forward to this--and MONTREAL nonetheless! :toocool: |

| If I was going out for NYE I would be heading to Montreal....I don't think my boss would like it too much if I brought the pager to Montreal with me.....plus....that is a long drive back if someone has a fire in their house. |
