from my limited perspective, one was okay looking...and was looked like she could stand to lose a few pounds. Then again, this is only what I could see from the booth.

Yes, Rememberence_

My apologies.

As for the Filo & Peri lack of promotion: I heard an ad on Austin Radio (forget what station) for it.

Why oh why was I not informed of them coming to Austin? I would've been there with a load of people. I feel bad now those guys deserve a better crowd.

What's f*cked up is that you live in the city it went down in and didn't know about it...

That sums up the promotion in a nutshell.

Apparently he is playing at WMC this year. I am highly interested in seeing him as well as his productions the past year and a half have been phenominal, as well as his earlier work with Leama. If he keeps up his pace, I predict him being in the top 5 no later than 2007.

heh...well. *shrugs* I dunno :)

Leama & Moor make the sickest duo ever. Everytime I hear "Getting Away (L&M Mix)" by Above & Beyond I get goosebumps all over as to how those two cats managed to pull off such a wicked choon.

I was at HUSH on friday night and had a little convo with the dj there about dance/electronica music in TX. It's pretty sad when you ask someone of that nature if they know who Armin Van Buuren is, and their answer is simply NO. That makes you wonder, as a tranceaddict, if you're living in the right place.

I agree with Matthias about the concept behind the actual "name" of the artist and how it can affect the crowd in a venue. Last year I worked as a Loss Prevention Officer at a department store in Katy and thankfully ran into my partner, who had somewhat of knowledge on trance music. So here goes my happy ass about to bust out talking about this choon, and that choon, Markus Schultz, AVB, Blank & Jones, Danjo & Styles, blah blah blah. His only words were..."HUH?" He knew nothing about the hundreds of dj's that I know. Rather, he knew just the basic names such as Tiesto, PVD, ATB, Oakenfold, and so forth.

It kinda sucks that thats the way it works here. So be it! As long as those brave men from the UK and Europe continue producing the best music they have to offer, then I'm perfectly fine down here. Getting to promote gigs with the names we love (i.e. Schultz, Gab&Dres., Andy Moor, etc.) is a tough challenge here in the states. Only time will tell and we will just have to sit back, relax, and hope and pray that the US will reckon those artists like they do in Europe. As long as we're getting a taste of the music, I'll continue living like a happy camper :tongue3

& that person would be....ME!

Long story short: I see JBooty's posting that Filo & Peri are coming to town. http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=305160
Jbooty & I also talk in person about the show.

On Saturday, December 10th, I hear a radio announcement that Filo & Peri are at Vue that night.

I go to Vue (late, at 1:30 pm). Noone is there. A DJ is playing. I assume it's filo or peri. It is in fact, not.

All is explained. My extreme mistake. Sorry for inadvertant complete confusion.

I feel as though I should get my Supreme tranceaddict-ness revoked for a screwup big enough the dj comments. Sorry!
